About Bugcrowd

Bugcrowd sells a platform that brings hackers, pentesters, and AI together so customers know what is exposed, what is exploitable, and what to fix first. The Bugcrowd Security Knowledge Platform applies the global hacker community to finding and remediating hidden flaws in the attack surface that traditional testing will miss, before attackers can exploit them.[5]

Bugcrowd says it has a decade of experience partnering with companies worldwide in multiple industries. Bugcrowd says its work with companies in multiple industries includes PCI compliance in Retail, IoT device security in Automotive, patient data protection in Healthcare, and vulnerability disclosure in Government.[6]

The Bugcrowd Platform blends human ingenuity at scale, data-driven insights, and automated workflows to find and prioritize hidden security flaws in apps, APIs, and cloud services. Bugcrowd describes apps, APIs, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud as a changing attack surface. Bugcrowd uses its proprietary CrowdMatch AI technology to match skilled, trusted hackers to a customer's needs on demand. The Bugcrowd Platform includes continuous performance monitoring and KPI tracking with dashboards, reporting, and analytics across all customer solutions. Bugcrowd describes a SaaS platform that lets customers scale as their needs expand.[7][8]

Savant Vista is a feature of the Bugcrowd Platform that provides ongoing visibility into an external attack surface and scores hidden risks. Savant Vista combines horizontal attack surface discovery with deep enumeration of infrastructure to maintain a complete, up-to-date inventory of internet-facing assets. Organizations can import known assets or allow Savant Vista to automatically discover assets across their external attack surface. Savant Vista tracks asset metadata, ownership, and changes over time so teams always understand what exists and where exposure may occur. Savant Vista scan findings flow into the Bugcrowd Security Inbox, where teams can analyze and prioritize exposures. Savant Vista allows teams to place assets into Bugcrowd offensive testing programs to validate exploitability. Teams can add high-risk assets to Bugcrowd testing programs including Bug Bounty, PTaaS, Red Teaming, or VDP for exploit validation.[10][11]

Bugcrowd API Pen Tests are a Bugcrowd PTaaS solution. API pen tests from Bugcrowd look for misconfigured services and DNS, logic errors, weak credentials, and more. Customers can view prioritized findings, action items, analytics, and pentester progress 24/7 through the methodology checklist in a dashboard designed for pen testing workflows. Bugcrowd says its testing methodology follows OWASP, PTES, and OSSTMM. Red Team as a Service (RTaaS) from Bugcrowd helps customers test their defenses the way attackers would. Bugcrowd offers three red teaming models designed for various maturity levels, compliance needs, and budgets. The red teaming service connects customers to a global network of vetted operators and offers assured, blended, or continuous engagement options. In assured red teaming, a dedicated team is assigned for a defined time window. In continuous red teaming, the environment is persistently probed by rotating teams of vetted operators who adapt constantly to new techniques.[11][12]

Powered by the Bugcrowd Platform, M&A Assessments combine Pen Testing as a Service with Bugcrowd Attack Surface Management (ASM). Bugcrowd says M&A assessments inventory assets and prioritize risk in under three weeks. Post M&A, Bug Bounty and VDP solutions help reduce risk on an ongoing basis.[13]

Bugcrowd ensures that a submitted vulnerability is valid, unique, and in scope, reproduces it, and confirms severity. Bugcrowd says AI models trained on years of data help filter out spam, false positives, and duplicates, and escalate severe submissions for review by human experts. Bugcrowd says every AI-assisted triage decision is reviewed by its expert team. Bugcrowd says its in-house triage engineers are hackers themselves, with a team present in 11 countries. Dedicated Slack channels are available for real-time communication with the triage team.[3][9][10][12]
