Cookie Policy

What we set today
No advertising cookies. Reading CISO Tribune sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics runs without cookies until you accept on the banner; if you accept, it may set its first-party analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, up to two years) to tell returning readers from new ones. Declining keeps it cookieless. Your choice itself is stored as a single value in local storage (ct-cookie-consent) so we don't ask you on every visit; that is a strictly necessary preference, not a tracker, and it never leaves your device.
LinkedIn post embeds
On CISO Voices, each LinkedIn entry is shown as our own card: the person, their role and company from our record, the date and our description. Loading the page requests nothing from LinkedIn. The optional "Show post" button inserts LinkedIn's official embed of that one post (from linkedin.com/embed), which brings in content from LinkedIn and lets LinkedIn set its own cookies and receive your IP address and browser details under LinkedIn's cookie policy, only after you click it. "Hide post" removes it again.
X posts work the same way: "Show post" inserts X's official embed of that one post (from platform.twitter.com, with X's do-not-track option set), which lets X set its own cookies under X's privacy policy, only after you click it. The "Show posts inline" switch does the same for every LinkedIn and X post on the page and is remembered in your browser's local storage (ct-voices-inline), never on our servers. Turn it off to go back to cards only. Entries from Bluesky, Mastodon, YouTube, articles, podcasts, talks and blogs, and the profile links on person pages, are plain links: nothing from those sites loads on our pages.
What might be added later
If we add privacy-respecting analytics or a newsletter signup, any optional cookies or similar technologies will load only after you choose "Accept" in the consent banner. Declining keeps the Site fully functional. This page and the privacy policy will be updated first.
How to control cookies
You can change your choice below at any time, and your browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data entirely; the Site works fine either way.
