About AppOmni

AppOmni is a SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) and AI SaaS Security Posture Management (AISPM) platform that gives enterprise companies and their security teams continuous visibility into their SaaS applications, AI-enabled environments, and AI agents.[4]

AppOmni says the platform monitors configurations settings and user permissions, detects threats, simplifies compliance, and surfaces data exposures across applications like Salesforce, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, and Workday. AppOmni integrates with over 100 SaaS applications, and the app coverage spans productivity, CRM, ITSM, identity, ERP, collaboration, legal, healthcare, and developer tools.[1][4]

The problem AppOmni says it addresses is that misconfigured apps, shadow access, and unsafe AI actions often go undetected. AppOmni describes a lifecycle approach with four stages: Identify, Protect, Detect, and Respond. In the Identify stage, AppOmni discovers SaaS and AI in use and who has access, including unsanctioned apps and shadow agents. In the Respond stage, AppOmni integrates with SOC tools so teams can block AI prompts, revoke access, disable a risky integration, or trigger incident response steps.[4]

The platform has several components.

AppOmni also offers Marlin AI, which autonomously correlates security indicators, investigates risks, surfaces incidents, and delivers expert-guided remediation. AskOmni is an AI security assistant integrated into the AppOmni platform, where users can ask questions in plain language and receive contextual answers based on their SaaS data.[5][6][7]

On deployment, AppOmni connects to SaaS applications via native APIs, so there is no hardware to install, no network changes required, and no agents to deploy. AppOmni says most organizations achieve full connectivity and their first security findings within hours of starting onboarding. Unlike Cloud Access Security Brokers, which sit inline to monitor traffic, AppOmni connects directly to SaaS application APIs to inspect configurations, permission structures, and data access.[4]

AppOmni says it is used by enterprise security and IT teams, including cloud security architects, vulnerability management, SecOps, IAM, and GRC, at global organizations. Current customers span financial services, healthcare and life sciences, legal services, technology, and the public sector. AppOmni says it is designed for companies subject to compliance requirements such as SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST CSF, SSCF, GDPR, or ISO 27001.[4]

AppOmni was founded in 2018 by CEO Brendan O’Connor and CTO Brian Soby, and it is headquartered in San Mateo, California. AppOmni lists Cisco Investments, Salesforce Ventures, ServiceNow, Thoma Bravo, and Scale Venture Partners among its investors.[4][5]
