About Keepit
Keepit sells a vendor-independent cloud service for backing up and recovering data held in SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Salesforce. Keepit says it owns and operates its own cloud, so that from a data processing standpoint Keepit is the only vendor involved. Keepit says it uses no public cloud and no third-party subprocessors.[1][6]
Keepit says that backup and recovery of data held with a SaaS provider is the customer's responsibility. Keepit says native Dynamics 365 data is retained for a maximum of 28 days with no extension possible. Keepit says Google Workspace does not include automatic backup. Keepit says Jira and Confluence offer limited native backup capabilities. Keepit offers a single dashboard across Microsoft 365, Salesforce and more.[7][8][9]
Keepit restores M365 data to its original location with the original file structure and metadata, and says customers can restore multiple terabytes a day. Keepit coverage includes Groups and Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange Online. Keepit customers can add Hot Archive for SharePoint to move rarely used data out of production and keep every file accessible on demand. Keepit can restore Entra ID data to a secondary tenant to maintain operations if the primary tenant is unavailable. Keepit covers Gmail, Google Drive, calendar, and task data for selected users. Keepit for Dynamics 365 covers Dynamics instances and entity metadata, covering more than 500 data objects. Keepit offers backup and recovery for Power BI. Services for Jira and Confluence Cloud are priced separately.[8][11][12][13][14]
Keepit stores backup data on an independent cloud infrastructure in two mirrored data centers in the data center region the customer chooses. Keepit has seven data center regions: EU-DK, EU-DE, Switzerland, UKI, US, CA and APAC. Keepit lists backup redundancy of 4 copies in 2 separated data centers in the selected region. Keepit says building its own independent cloud lets it offer unlimited hot storage and predictable all-in pricing. Keepit storage uses a blockchain-like Merkle tree structure for immutable storage and an incremental forever approach. Keepit secures data via immutability and an air-gapped architecture, and offers retention options from 5 years to unlimited.[6][8][11][12][14]
Keepit includes an audit log that tracks every action, accessible via the UI or API. Keepit offers a job monitor with real-time insights into backup jobs. Keepit supports Role Based Access Controls, MFA and SSO to manage who has access to data. Keepit offers RTBF labels and compliance features that it says support GDPR, NIS2 and HIPAA adherence. Keepit lists integration with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Keepit says data traffic carries no egress, ingress, or transaction fees, and that installation is 100% cloud based with no hardware and no upgrades. Keepit's Restore Wizard offers in-place, cross-user, and granular restores.[6][11][12]
Keepit says it is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II attested. Keepit has obtained TISAX, TX-RAMP and EcoVadis certifications. Keepit says all of its data centers hold ISO 27001 certification. Keepit says that with no third-party sub-processors and a no-transfer guarantee, its independent cloud ensures compliance with frameworks like NIS2, DORA, GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST. Keepit offers customizable retention periods up to 99 years. Keepit says its HQ is located in Denmark, EU.[7][15]
Keepit sells in three plans. Business Resilience includes everything in Core Continuity, and Enterprise Resilience includes everything in Business Resilience. Core Continuity offers recovery for up to 5 years and Business Resilience offers recovery for up to 10 years. Keepit names customers including French Tennis Federation, Krona and SPIEGEL-Verlag.[3][6][7][9][11][12][13][14]
