Guy Rosen steps down as Chief Information Security Officer of Meta

Guy Rosen announced his departure from Meta after nearly 13 years with the company, where he served as Chief Information Security Officer. Rosen joined Meta through the 2013 acquisition of Onavo, the analytics company he co-founded, and rose to become one of the most senior security executives in the industry.

His exit opened one of the most consequential CISO seats in the world — responsibility for security across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp — which Meta filled the following month with the appointment of Assaf Keren. Thirteen years is an extraordinary tenure in a role where industry averages run closer to three.
